Ive split my car into 3 parts,

 

1st = interior + needed mods

2nd = Bare metal respray + wide arse

3rd = Engine mods

 

The car is running sweet as so the engine is fine (touch wood) so is the last mod to happen, Respray is very high but i can live with the Pearl White untill she goes Black which leaves the interior.

 

Im a bit of a new freak so everything has to be mint and as this is where ill see the car the most, plus other little bits and pieces that are crying out to be done.

Totalling £3585 :cry: So need some help getting this down with any links you have or advice on where to get these bits please.

So any help or alterations to bring this new shopping list down would be great as i dont want to have to work 7day weeks for the whole of 2007!!

Its the engine holding out untill the rebuild that worries me more lol, as for black im still not 100% sure if thats how ill go but keeping this white clean is a nightmare and IMHO shows the age a little more then other colours do unless your Funky Si and have a showroom colour finish

Yeah totally agree here, mines Cherry Red Pearl, and on a cloudy day, and especially during the winter she just looks like a dark red boring car, but shined up and with the sun beaming down on her she's the dogs *****cks!!! I think it's the same with all the pearl paint colours on the Zed, they all look far better in the sun shine.

Well if this shopping list comes off then ill see at least this summer and most likely next summer aswell in Pearl white :rofl: :rofl:

Brakes! The zeds stock brakes aint the best. Loud pedal action is curtailed cos you have to factor in a much longer braking distance. Its my next upgrade. Smithy does a nice kit :)

bare metal respray including wide ars is gona set you back 8K at least to have it dont properly.

He not kidding either, how much is mac up to now 30 odd k on his car?

The brakes have been upgraded allready :) see rides, I will add in a whole new set-up with the respray.

 

I know roughly what the respray will cost and that id need to throw 10-15k at the engine for decent BHP So I know to have the car as i want is looking 30-35k but thats WAAAAAYY down the line, Which is why ive split it up, the interior asap, The respray 2yrs on, the engine 4-6yrs on and ive allowed for repairs and maintanance.

 

Its this list i need help with, Dont know if ive overpriced things or underpriced them, Wanted to see if anyone had any ideas for the interior that ive left out or have missed and to get some prices/deals off anyone selling the above.

 

Im not aspiring to have MAC`s car or CJ`s, i want it to be as I want it but being new to the ZED im still learning, My golf is as we want it and was easy to see what could be done but this is a whole new car and new prices :( and with everyday i see new things and learn something new so thought id throw it open as i need to get this interior done yesterday.

If your getting 99spec rear lights,you really need the centre panel too or it looks silly imo,add £80+vat.

if your looking at sorting teh engine further down the line it may cost you a lot less as there is bound to be a tuned lump available by then for a lot less cash.

buy the re-trim kit and do it yourself for a big saving.

That puts my little list to shame, Im doing mine a bit slower then yours mate and only in the 3 stages because thats all i could handle at once, even then the whole interior for me seems a huge Job let alone you doing all round together.

As said earlier, the moneys there if anything goes wrong, that list isnt my finances in total, theres unfortunatley a lump sum for any problems and its killing me to watch it have to sit there but its there. Being nearly 27 i know to expect the unexpected.

 

Most of those prices have VAT and some items have been blown up to more then they should like the back to black and paints which wont be anywhere near 70 notes but id rather have left overs then underpricing bits, the leathers is worst case and maximum price without me touching which im hoping to try and so on.

 

She has a yrs MOT.

This list is a mix of all priorities and theres no wish list... This is the only list for the interior and finishes it to how i want it.

 

I only wanted ideas to interior bits that i might have left off or links of where to get these bits from people that have bought the same and feedback on it as like i said im a noob to zeds so needed your help and advice.

I suppose that way works out cheaper then buying bits here and there. As looking at some mods the prices shoot up a lot quicker then youd think so to get one thats allready been started on or a minter would be the best.
