Yeah bud - Im currently workin on Fighting Farce 3 from PS2 and Gamecube and maybe Xbox!

 

Will it be supported well - god knows - The problem with Nintendo is with about 2 expections (Rare and DMA in the past) they couldn't give a wank about Non Japanese developers , therefor people just get pissed about developing on them as you there is always soo much you dont know about the hardeware - they always get good first party support and some good stuff from Capcom and Konami Etc - I dunno for the price you can't go far wrong - Im not a big fan of Zelda and Mario and that kiddy shit (like Herdy Gerdy ) so i probably wont get one till resident evil Zero comes out !

nico why dont you do us old time gamers a favour and start work on a new elite....its well overdue and i miss it and i'm sure a programmer of your calibre could do the business with this on the pc given the power pc's have compared to the heady days of the amiga ans st version

Yeah dude i would love to cept the tossers that acutally made it are such twats even they can't decide on who owns the rites to it - They tried to do a few sequels but failed miserably every time !

Elite was a bit before my time, but someone once said to me that it would take years to complete the game...is this true???

not if you played it solid every night for about 4 hrs if you were good then it took about 2 months but that was the bonus of elite you didnt have to elite was just your status you progressed to. i know people go on about non linear gameplay but this game was just like that you could more or less do what you liked and at your own pace....years ahead of its times and proof positive that you dont need top notch graphics to make a good game i'd buy this if was released on the pc tomorrow....sorry to hijack this thread with dull gaming trivia by the way........BRING BACK JEFF MINTER AS WELL....nowt better than trippin to revenge of the mutant camels.....sorry im rambling now

Tooley, you're not wrong there mate. Elite and Exile were 2 of the best games I've ever played. Big shame there is no decent sequel to either.

didn;t someone try an Elite sequel a little while (3yr?) back? Same trading principles but a lot more emphasis on the flying - relatively (comaptred to Elite!) decent graphics and 'ralistic' flight characteristics.

 

Shame though, cos it sucked. The original was superb, even if it was rediculously easy on the PC.

LOL, Witch space, I forgot about that. Fooking Thargons and Thargoids. They were armed to the teeth.

 

The Elite sequel was called Frontier. It let you go into the atmosphere of some planets and the space stations were much fancier. But there was something that wasn't quite right about it and made it worse than the original.
