commet scam

A receipt arrives that looks like a very genuine communication from Comet the electrical retailer, on the receipt will be details of an order that is returning a refund to your credit card - the last four digits of your credit card will be given along with a contact number to call. Do not call the number - they are relying on you to go down the route of giving out your full credit card number and security numbering to the rear of the card. I have received such a communication and after contacting the Genuine Comet head office this has been confirmed as a scam. Be warned.
