On a frinds car I notice when it rains that it looks like there was some writing on the outside of the windscreen. Sadly he's got an Imported Mitsubishi FTO, but can anyone offer any tips on removing this stuff.

It might be an Import thing, any you guys had to get this off your Imported Z's?

Thanks in advance

this sounds crazy i know but it works. try white wine vinegar get a clothe soaked in it and give the window a good scrubbin dont get any on the rubber or paintwork it doesnt damage them but it will take off any polish or other protectant you have on the car meaning you'll have to do it all over again

Eddie,

Funny you should mention that, while I had the pleasure of sitting in my passenger seat for two hours in the freezing cold, on the M25 because my heater matrix had blown...

I noticed what appeared to be strange writing on my windscreen, but my car is definitely UK from new...spookey...what could this mean???

This is weird last year (about july )

I was sitting in a traffic jam,the outside temperature was about 98degrees (old money)

when all of a sudden I felt a kind of a chill and my head was full of pictures of my

mother naked holding a blue goose and as I watched... very... very slowly the number 666 aappeared on my windscreen and a voice that sounded like my wife in a very long tunnel was gently whispering in my ear saying"please dont buy it I fancy a Frontera" anyone know what the problem could be ??? I have asked Nissan and they seem to think that "the problem is you are pissed and you will forget once again that you have posted this on the forum"

has anyone has this problem before as I believe can not believe Nissans diagnosis?

..shit must go quickly ..She nears..She nears

Anyway appoligies all for my ranting I will leave you in peace

Thanks for the reply johnny.

Mine had the ghost of writing on it that appeared when it rained too.

Mines an import. If you look at the sites that show the prospective models in Japan you will see that they use a white wax crayon to put a reference number on the glass as a quick visual from a distance. As the wax has oil in it it stick to the glass after the wax has gone. Mine gradually disappeared after 3 years of British Weather!

Having said that, they also do the same at Santa Pod in RWYB!
