My K750i is having problems so I called O2 and they said I'm due for an upgrade.

I can choose from:

K800i

W810i

or W850i

Anyone know if any of them are good / bad?

Cheers!

K800i.

No contest.

Do it. Do it now.

(was that emphatic enough?)

Cool, sounds good.

Has it got a torch? THe most useful thing on my 750i is the torch (I must sound like my grandfather here!)

Whatever you do DONT get an xda mini. They are crap as phones and crap as pdas!

IMO

The k750 i had was well good, hard as nails, dropped in all sorts when being used as torch while under the car, never missed a beat.

Read the peoples reviews not the companys/coperate/salesmans reviews.

Nokia N93 is a decent phone but isnt too cheap at the moment down to the fact it can replace a digicam because it records in near DVD quality.

Sony W950 if your into your music

Blackberry Pearl 8100 if you want office tools on there with pretty good all round functions.

Depends what you want it for mate :)

The K800i has the orange thing thats part of the camera. Not exactly a torch but it helps you walk around the house at night. Why do you need a torch on your phone? You going Blair witch hunting?

i've got a w850i it rocks. Was with virgin originally but the coverage was shyte, the use t-mobile apparently, says it al lreally. now back with orange and another w850i. Best phone i've ever had.

K800i best phone camera on the market at the moment, and with a great phone from sony erricson.

Must say when my Nokia finally gave up the ghost after almost 5years and countless times of being dropped.

I got a nice k800i, its brilliant and because I bought it unlocked/sim free it's worked out so much cheaper also I'm not tied into some poxy contract that's gonna cost me an arm and a leg. :D

Ive got an Orange SPV M3100 which has a light on it. You can activate it via the camera features but it stays on constantly when turned on.

My wife has a W850i - it's great little phone. It also has the torch functionality that you require.

W850i sounds like a winner!

where?

If you hold out a little longer (march) the new N95 should be out, its got a 5MP camera (better than my crappy digital camera at the moment) and it also has inbuilt Sat Nav software which can redirect you to new and exciting drinking holes. Perfect for me when im on a sesh up town and need to figure out where the hell I am before my last train pulls away! Could be quite costly though. Ive heard good things about the N73, is that an option for you to upgrade to?

I dunno why I need a torch - just that it's been really useful on the old phone!

Look sorry for this but I think you need it

IF YOU WANT A TORCH BUY A FURKIN TORCH YOU MUPPET

Now if you want a phone, I have seen the K800 and it is the dogs danglies

Well after speaking to several O2 people on the phone (at length) who all said different things (you can have this phone, you can't have any phone, you can have that phone) and going into two O2 shops for similar treatment, I ended up with.....

A Sony W810i

To be honest after all the fcuking about I'd have taken anything that worked.

And it's pretty much identical to my old 750i (but not broken)

At least it was free.

And it's got a torch so I'm happy.

I miust sound like an old man.

I really wanted a simple one with big buttons. I SAID BIG BUTTONS! DID YOU HEAR ME SONNY?

Thanks for all the advice - it was useful (so I can tell none of you work for 02)

It may not be a superb camera but a phone that's a camera's a bit like Cadfael - he's a detective but he's also a monk!

Anyway as an aspiring (semi) professional photgrpaher if I want to take a photo, I'll use a real camera.

And breath...
