More than the price of a Z I seem to remember hearing :D

On play.com they're £550 with 3 games, not much less than they're going for at the moment - I'm getting tempted

i think its £450 for the console and a controller, you might get a game with it as well but not sure

thiers a computer fair down the road from me one sunday a month that had them on sale last week for £599 with 2 games or £999 with 12 games.

If you look on Ebay but not ebay UK you wil be suprised, Saw one go the other day for £380 with 3 games and an extra controler! £100 delivery but income tax would be a killer.

p.s. they will be £425 when out in march

My advice is to stay away from the 1st wave of PS3. I was in the US earlier in the month looking to buy one whilst I was there and the people I spoke to all said that they are extremely unreliable. One guy in a shop had his one on display break 3 times in a week and a half, he had also had back 3 out of 16 sold, makes you wonder how many kids were disappointed on christmas day!!!! After quite a long talk with him he said that he would only sell me one if I really forced him to as they are that bad, also the warranty isn't valid in the UK so had it gone wrong I'd be stuffed.

 

I believe there are 2 versions, 20gb and 60gb, buy the 60gb version as you will (apparently) only want to upgrade later anyway, just like with a 360 core or premium pack.

 

The word on the street is that when the PS3 is launched here the price of the 360 is going to be dropped by £100.

exactly what i was looking at, just trying to work out if its worth it

although i cant wait to get my dirty little hands on a ps3, i'm going to hold out until theres at least 2 games that i'd really want, eg. a rally game and something else. by then the price will have thinned down a bit, and the games developers will have learned more about the machine to make better games.
