Anybody know why Nissan chose to use the handbrake circuit to switch the rear shocks into sport mode? I thought US Zs had a sport mode switch somewhere.

How do you put the suspension in and out of sport mode????

the shocks get stiffened during acceleration and at high speed by the ecu

bringing up the handbrake by one click will also force them to be stiffened

(my understanding of it)

although, now i have kyb gas adjustables, i have no need of the feature....

Now I see

thanks craig

This facility is only on US Z's though isn't it ? Not on UK or Jap models ?

Does the ECU really switch them? Is it full throttle or at what speed? On the wiring diagram I did not see a connection for the ecu decision.

I do notice that with the handbrake on one notch it becomes almost uncomfortably stiff at the back.
