Bloody Zed I hate it  Well not really I love it :)

ย

However it's trying my patience at present. I have no heating it will only blow out freezing cold air its like a meat freezer driving it at present. All the blowers work and it de mists nicely only via cold air only. :headvswal :headvswal

Check your water level honey, if that is ok then check see if the pipes going into and out of the heater matrix are hot.

Agree with Scrawni, if the levels are ok, then check the pipes are the same heat all the way along, as there might be an air lock, somewhere there should be a bleed screw, or the heater matrix is possilby on the way out. (Aisles you dont want that, as it might involve the dashboard coming out)

ย

Darrell

:) Thanks guys I'm gonna have a real good look at it on Sunday.

ย

Gaz the polo neck might be nice.

ย

The offer of a knitted scarf also nice but I've already made one :o

ย

And Darrell I know how you must be feeling bloody cold as I went all last winter with no heating. :( All the best and heating engineers are a waste of space we had to put in our own central heating system and connect it up to the mains ourselves 2 weeks ago. Still awaiting the corgi engineer to come and certify it.

Know what you mean about the dash Stu I'm hoping I won't have to resort to removing it, but knowing my luck it's all gonna have to come out. Oh well girl power will win the day :)

little tip if the pipes going in and out of the heater matrix are not the same temp then undo both pipes get a hose pipe and back flush it as it could be clogged up with crap run the water through it untill its going clear then reconnect it top it all back up and try that matey ;) if there still not the same temp after then its a dash out job buddy

first thing is always check the water level. I had my coolant changed the other day by the garage and the problem with the zed is you have to fill it and run it a few times to get all the air out the system as it always appears to be filled up if you pour a cup and a bit in. In fact after a run it's bone dry again.

ย

I had no heating and the rad wasn't getting hot either. Sorted it quickly though.

so your footwell on both driverside and passenger side are dry?

ย

it will either be the above, an airlock is common on the 2 hoses going in to the firewall for inlet and return from the H.M give them a squeeze.

ย

in order..

ย

start car turn temp to max, remove radiator cap, get car up to temp

ย

remove bleed screw

run car at around 3k rpm

also may help to squeeze the rear hoses to the matrix

top up as required, make sure no more air bubbles are exiting the bleed screw

replace screw

check temprature inside.

ย

if that dont help, then you need to check...

ย

leaks, even a small leak is letting air in to the systym, thus causing permanant airlocks

ย

failing thermostat if not opening then water not circulating, worth checking last
