Got some new alloys (thanks ronflat) and just thought, at which point is it best to place the jack?

 

There is a thin part running along the length of the underside of the car that I would expect would fit perfectly into the groove going through the top of the jack. Or is there another way?

 

To change all 4 wheels would I expect to jack the car up twice or 4 times?

First do the fronts, just behind wheels once you have one side up, if u have another jack or some blocks, put under the front end on the subframe, the solid metal bit frm wheel to wheel, when u lower the front back down, the suspension should be slightly raised (hopefully) if you try a trolley jack at the front, most zeds are a bit low on the front, its okay putting it up, when when u lower there is a chance the jack will get stuck. the rear is easier.

Make sure you use the handbrake, and a decent jack
