Arr but they are badley adjusted Fog lamps then, as the beam should go outwards, not up to eye level!! This should be tested on the MOT, IMHO!

yes far too many dickheads driving around with no fog or just crap sidelights on. :headvswal

you cant adjust the ones that are built into the cluster, plus the brightness some people obviously dont look at their dash's and see the light on

I take it we are both talking of the front ones? JSpec front Z32 fog lamps DO have an adjustment for aim. The adjuster is under one of the marked side strips (old pic for another reason)....

My old Escort had aim adjustment, and afaik all modern cars with built-in fogs have adjustments.

Arrrr, right I get you, see what you mean now :headvswal ;)

Oh yeah, bloody rear fog lamps! We were following a woman in our works van yesterday (no, not that she was in our works van and we were following her  ) and she had her rear fog on, well when she went into a village she turned it off, then when we were outside the village again, he put it back on!! We were right behind her :headvswal :headvswal the stupid bitch!!

yeah thick as shit, its when its not foggy and they have left em on fooking they are bright, cant understand how they leave them on with the warning light illuminated on the dash. I try to get in front and flick my rear fogs on and off to give them the hint, no chance not a fooking clue thick as shit

Yeah, the rear fogs can be pretty annoying at night, however what's actually worse is people who just drive around with main beam on instead of/as well as their fog lights when they're in town. Not being racist but the immigrant taxi drivers seem to be the worst offenders in Cambridge, or at least that's what my empirical observations would suggest. What really annoys me about this is that if you stick your main beams on in fog YOU get dazzled anyway because you suddenly get enveloped in this massive diffuse orb of white light, and then you can't see the road markings as well as with just dipped beams on.

Or the ones that see you ehind them, hit a patch of, and turn them on anyway.

"Yeah stupid I can already see you"

UK MOT regulations state that you MUST have a rear fog lamp fitted to cars first used on or after 1st April 1980. If yours is an import, and I'm assuming it is, then it should of had one fitted when it was first imported into the UK.

All the information you should need as to where to fit/options available is in our FAQ section ...>>> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=42161

IMO -- People who drive around in thier Zeds, and do not have a rear fog lamp fitted, are crazy! People need to see you in front of them, as there is always at least one tw@ about who drives far too fast in fog, and that person might just be behind YOU!! The sooner he sees you, the sooner he can slow down!

Funny thing with fog lights is there's no legal requirement to turn them on in poor visibility, i.e. below 100 meters whether fog or heavy rain.

But there is a legal requirement to turn them off when visibility improves

"201-212: Driving in adverse weather conditions

201: You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 211).

Law RVLR regs 25 & 27

211: You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced (see Rule 201) as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves.

Law RVLR regs 25 & 27 "

If these driver's that leave them on annoy you so much, take their reg number and report them.
