Hi,

Has anyone manage to change the petrol tank straps without a major headache? I can't see how I'm supposed to get to the top bolts? Any ideas????

Cheers

You have to take the back bumper off then it's easy. The bolts are loctited from new so you will need a big strong bar on the socket. The nuts are welded in place. After removing if you have a welder you can cut the ends off and weld in a new strap for about a fiver. Check the tank under the straps it could be rusted through. If you know what you are doing you can soft solder a copper patch on any small holes.

Cheers, it's not the bolts under the bumper that look the problem, it's the ones at the other end that look very akward :(
