Tie-bar bushes

Okay, I'm a total numbskull when it comes to suspension. I've just had a 'Full Nelson' (major service!) and have been told that my tie-bar bushes are starting to split.

1 WTF are these and will the car be unsafe ?

2 What kind of cost do these puppies run to?

3 The usual 'if it breaks-mod it' rules apply- can you get poly ones and are they worth it.

4 WTF am I doing posting this in the general instead of the tech form. Ah well- too late now wink.gif

BTW I saw a white Z near Southport station at 5.00 pm- was it you?????

Hello Mate,

I could be wrong here but I think tie bars are also refered to as tension rods, you can get poly bushes which are apparently a huge improvement, will tell you when I fit mine.

You can get them from www.suspension.com and order 7-7105 cost including postage$57, phone no. 001 209 578 5101 don't know if customs will nab ya on duty though.

Or I think the Z centre, MJP or Grasshopper will probably do them for about the same price.

Regards,

Mark
