With Photobucket you can SMS them to your account. Just a thought in case all else fails :)

Have you got bluetooth or a cable to connect it?

have you tried to do a restart. when i installed the software for my phone it did the same thing. after a restart the comp finally recognised the phone

yes muppet.... the cables are connected..

thanks guys.. will give the restart a shot.. as far as SMSing.... fook.. there is about 14 mb of pics and info i need to transfer :wack:

It's strange you should say this, I've just upgraded my PC to the new suite, and it works fine. I've been loading all my stuff to my new laptop and loaded the suite from the CD that came with my phone, sorted OK and detected the phone no problem. Then I did the upgrade to the new software (same as main PC) and it no longer recognises the phone!! The lappy acknowledges that the phone is plugged in, but the suite just freezes and does nothing!! So I've uninstalled it and will be putting the CD version back on and forgetting the update.

well i give up... mines not working at all!

does the phone appear as a device when you plug it in like a memory stick or a camera?

nothing appears..

when i plug it in.. the pc goes 'ding' like when u plug something it...

the phone comes up saying connected and the nokia suit just stays there ghosted (like its not plugged in)

When i go into my computer to see if its there... nothing there apart from my usual, scanner, webcam, printer etc.

 im about to trash the phone!!!!!!!

Mine played up as well sweet heart, I went onto Nokias website and downloaded the lastest suit and now all is fine.

if i lived a little closer i'd fix it in the space of about 5 mins but i can't think of how to fix it for you without being there :(

As scrawni says download the latest version from nokia and it usually sorts it out

hey honey pie, i had this prob 2, im sure there is a driver for the cable to install to your pc, i really cant remember now but when i first connected up it asked me for a driver now its fine.

uninstall the suite software and any other nokia stuff in there, restart the pc.

leave the phone connected to the pc by the cable. start the pc up.

when you get to the desktop if it picks it up it should give the ping and say new hardware detected, then you go through the drivers search routine. if not then right click on my computer goto the properties at the bottom click that, then click on the hardware tab then device manager button. you will see a list of items, there may be one there that has a yellow symbol in a triangle next to it, this will be the unknown item connected to your pc if so put cd in drive, then goto this item , double click and then reinstall drivers, choose to pick your own and in the next window tick the include cds box. that should search the cd for the drivers.

if there is nothing highlighted in the list, right click the top item in the list it will say "scan for hardware changes" then it should pick it up.

however something that hasnt been mentioned is this, if you are still on service pack 1 of xp home or pro and have not done an upgrade or updates since release then you do not have usb 2.0 drivers in there, in which case if the phone and software require usb 2.0 then it wont allow it to run, so do check for updates on microsofts site.

if your still stuck let me know

si

brilliant... thanks for that! will give it a shot when i get home tonight.... and yeah i've got XP home.... Will let you know! Thanks again!

And thanks eeryone!!
