Everything is now off ready to stick it on when it arrives, absolute ******* of a job, so much to remove just to get the lower plenum off. Slightly easier than getting the engine out but not much.

I'd like to thank Syko for tech & moral support & special thanks to Ryan at Ztech for providing me with the challenge by leaving the fkin thing off last time he had the engine out - great work guys!!!

I'm sure you already know but IIRC it's very important to torque the sensor in to the tight settings ;)

Vijay

Cheers Vijay, bolt is missing too so I'll have to find out what thread that is as well.

i may be jumping the gun here but IF z-tech made a cock up (which is how i read it) then shouldnt they be sorting it out for you at no charge, or paying for someone else to do it?

Wasn't owned by me when the work was done on the car.

the previous owner did not want the det sensor refitted, was happy with a bypass caried out, just for the records, and i dont work there anymore, so not a biast vote

cheers

relocate the det senser worth while job in the long run

I thought about this long and hard when my knock sensor failed and got some advice from Lymon (hi Eric) which is: Henri's det sensor relocation would probably be OK in the long term but there has to be a reason why Mr Nissan put the knock sensor where it is (instead of an easier place) and therefore the best place for a knock sensor is where it was designed to be.

(oh, and hi greg - how's it going?)

So plenum off it was (and another world of hurt from those b*stards at Lucas Garage but that's another story).
