How good is the stock oil pressure gauge?

We all know that the stock Turbo gauge is bad, but how good is the stock oil pressure gauge? Mines going up and down all over the place. I know about the pressure sender unit, but I was wondering if a new pressure gauge will help. Dont fancy spending £80+VAT for the sender unit.

NATORIOUSLY CRAP is the answer lol.

The Guage is OK in that it has a needle and a reading.

The sender unit is a total POS. I think it is due to diaphram failure or somthing - but it often gives up the ghost for a lenght of time and read 0psi - not good if you have just installed new turbos frown.gif

Wank Stu is the simple answer bud!

Just replaced my sender unit. Before it was reading 60+ psi at about a oner then it would drop off to fuck all for no reason! Scarey!

New sender and all is good again. wink.gif

I was told the senders on the Mk III Soups were arse aswell. So it's a consensus then that ALL turbo and oil pressure gauges out the factory are branded DOG SHITE by me then? Yep! LMFAO biggrin.gif All IMHO as usual, without prejudice, vain knights, double quitsies, no passing etc. etc.
