I am wanting to rid the Z of the tinny 'Fiat Uno door crash'. Just wondering if anyone's gone mad with sound deadening on their Zs and if it made any difference.

 

Not interested in the ICE reasons for it, just wanting a better quality clunk, rather than the typically tinny crash that Z doors make on closure.

 

Did filling the doors with dynamat make a really noticable difference?

I get this tinny clangey noise on my drivers door when i close it but the passenger door sounds fine its been pissing me off for ages cant seem to find the rattle

cheers si might try changing that ;) its getting right on my tits the passenger door makes a nice solid clunk when closed but my door sounds like a dustbin lid shutting against the car :wack:

Not the motor linkage but the runners. There's a nut that comes loose. Have a search through, I'm sure there's plenty on it. :)

Cheers matey, i'm not a great fan of OTT outside styling, i think the japs did a good enough job inthe first place i just want to improve it slightly and bring the interior totally up to date, leather everywhere and a cockpit TVR would be proud of. The whole dash is coming out and i'm getting moulding, something along the lines of this photoshop i started (ignore all the distorted stuff on the left hand side i never finished it) black italian leather (possibly tuscan seats if i can find a breaker), purple stitching and dark maroon carpet:
