the only real way is to get hold of him or look through any recepts that you have with the car for the address of the garage otherwise its a case of a new mot matey

no im not asking for a dodgy one, it was the new mot certificate.

If it's one of the new style ones, I 'think' you can get it re-issued by the DVLA.

yup should be able to for an administration fee

VOSA - £11 replacement MOT certificate

When my last certificate had a mistake on it I couldn't get tax. My number plate had been put in wrong.

I rang Vosa and they said I had to go to the garage that did the mot, take my old cert and log book so they could contact VOSA to verify that my car was the one they mot'd, then Vosa altered the details on their system so the garage could print me off a new cert.

I guess if you rang vosa and gave them your details from the log book then they will tell you exactly what to do and where to go. They're pretty efficient like that.
