That is cool! Quite like the MK1 Festas. MK2 Fiestas are cheesey little rot boxes, but the MK1 has gained classic status.

Loving the mileage and the way that's kept! Museum peice!

WHAT FOR OVER £22,000

I had one when they were new :headvswal kept it 8 days cos even back then It was shite compared to most everything else

Compared to what at the time? Christ, it was certainly better than the 104, Citroen Visa....MK1 Renault 5 was slightly better, but that's only due to the Gordini/Turbo versions. The MK1 Nova didn't have any viable models at that point either. GTE wasn't launched until 1986. Metro was pants.

£22k is OTT though, maybe not for a collector. Be nice to see how much someone would be prepaired to pay for a UK spec 200 mile Nissan 300ZX TT manual.

Not something I'd ever consider buying not even when they were new.

And how many of these were you driving in 1983/4?

I had a fooking Datsun 120Y and it drove better than that piece of shite

Got rid and Bought a XR3i and while not much more money was as different

as Kathy Burke and Kathy Loydd (showing my age again :p )

No, I'm not a pensioner like yourself :p but I have driven cars from that era...driven Unos, Novas, Renault 5s, 205s AXs and Fiestas. Fiestas weren't a bad drive I thought. Noisey engines, but not a bad car.

Passed my test April 1984 3 weeks after my 17th Birthday

they drunk juice and we noticed that when it was only 2 bob and a batman badge a gallon :p ;)

Go on Si tell me its my memory failing

OH and by the way MK2's were Fookin shite as well

lets face it, its an old banger, 22k to look like del boy trotter, its got to be rammed full with charlie, thats the only conclusion i can come to for it fetching a penny over 500 quid!

why is that strange? its been in Fords museum and in a private collection all its life. :)

so why sell it... surely it would be more beneficial in a museum... especially at its grand old fossil age... ;)

still strange to me :slap:

p.s... i didnt read the bit about the museum :p sorry

22k and reserve wasnt met, wonder how much he wanted for it, still bids up to 22k, some people must have more money than sense, cant say i would want to pay that sort of money regardless.

There is a car dealers at charfleets, Canvey island who has an original Mk 4 Capri RS 3.5 with the V8 in it very rare and has a sign on it NOT FOR SALE AT ANY PRICE, so i guess a collectors car is worth more to them than any amount of money

Nice to see, but thinks it's criminal that it's had no life! i'd rather se it in slightly worse nick with 60k on the clock than have it standing all the time!

Si if you manage to source a Uk Spec 200 mile Z, i'll stand you a grand plus the full asking price!
