just had my insurance renewal through from carole nash, they were insuring me with chaucer classic insurance which was £245 per year, just had my renewal the z is no longer covered by chaucer classic and they have just hit me with a quote for £495 heard of inflation but that ridiculous looks like the z and the merc on a multi car policy now

got a result this morn just put the z and the merc on a multicar policy with admiral and got a combined price of £457 per year fully comp on both

I was with Chaucer at Carol Nash until recently - it always was around £250 but they wanted £375 this year. I thought that too expensive, especially as my SLK only costs £287 FC with Admiral. (I have it on a multi-car policy with the Rav-4)

 

I switched to Heritage Insurance and got it back below £300 again.........

I didn't think of adding the ZX to my multi-car policy though as my NCB is used on the other cars.

well i had no noclaims on the z as it was on a classic policy but they give you a big discount as you have no claims on other cars they gave me 4 yrs autmatically so the z will prob be down to £220 ish a year once it gets full ncb

i just paid £775 for mine with adrian flux on a showcar policy because of all the mods :cry:
