So many tt owners running out of runway, where are the na owners saying stuff like "pushed it to 149 and it wouldn't give me any more" or words to that effect.

In conclusion, NA drivers are all sensible souls who don't want to kill themselves and others.

But I aint judgin mind ;)

got to 70 on the motorway once ;)

easy you can suffocate at that speed and it was actually 68.3 mph

I think the TT will do about 190mph manual and 200mph auto but you need more power to push to that geared limit I think :)

I've just been reminded by the other half that I did get mine up to 132mph before running out of tarmac. I wonder if I'll get the chance to see what it really can do ;)

At Bruntingthorpe, the TT's were hitting 160mph on the 2mile straight from a standing start - before having to jump on the brakes for the fairly tight corner at the end

My TT managed 160mph as standard on the 2 mile brunters straight before breaking. Apparently with the standard rev limit the TT will achieve 176mph. Auto can get around 190mph. (All indicated on speedo of course).

Ivan

had my tt manual showing 192mph on apexi avcr.

still some rpm left just no more power left.

my rev limiter is set at 7800rpm.

gonna try for more next year when i goto nurburg again.

I got 27mph out of mine In reverse! :slap:

Had it up to 133 so far! Would like to test on rolling road once cam belts and decat pipes are done.... :)

Once i get it lowered, a new ally rad, better intercoolers and my 18" 275s on the back and 235 i'll feel more like pushing up past 150... in the dry :D

The answer is to organise a club day at a place like millbroke.

For those that don't know Milbroke is the vauxhall testing ground.

It has a 2 mile diameter banked bowl that you can drive round at 100mpg and take your hands off the wheel.

I do believe top gear have been there on occasion.

Perhaps we can organise a national event there.

I did email to try and organise something but got no reply.

Darrell

you can drive round at 100mpg

 Blimey now that's good- if all roads were like Milbrook I'd save buckets!!! ;)

Sounds like a good idea though- a load of Zeds hacking round at full wack. Presumably not cheap though. Are there restrictions on number of cars using the bowl at any point in time?
