what have you uprated on the rear brake setup?

 

first option is better quality pads and discs with steel lines

 

or larger discs with maybe 4 pot calipers, how much and where

Not much point doing the rears IMO. Once you fit bigger front brakes then the weight transfer to the front wheels under heavy braking is even greater, therefore less 'effective' pressure on the rear wheels so less grip to take advantage of increased braking force. Hope that makes sense...
