CPU help

Does any one know much about CPU voltage

I have bought a AMD 2000+ and its not working too well

I think its the voltages

the +3.3V is running at aprox 3.31

The +5V is running at 5.01 ish

the +12V is running at 13.2.

Its too high. Where do I turn that down?

Stu a common problem is that motherboard manufacturers set the voltage automatically to 1.85, this is for a p4, amd work off 1.75, try this, maybe you have some luck! wink.gif

If you don't already you could try running MotherBoard Monitor http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ . This will display temps, voltages etc and may give some additional clues as to what might be wrong. In my experience the voltage rails do vary a bit and yours don't seem too bad. As AY3388 mentioned above the cpu voltage is the most important, so make sure that is correct for the AMD. Is this an overclocked system or boggo std ? If it's std then the manufacturers defaults should be correct !
