i think i'd say go for the wii, i've only heard good things about it and it isn't that expensive. Nintendo do always make the best games, (zelda, mario, dk etc...) saying that the DS was a flop!

I went with the 260 so i could play Forza 2.

Not had a chance to play the Wii yet, once ive had a go i might get one of them too, the controller seems... different.

I know very little about the Wii but so far Nintendo have never matched the likes of Sony or Microsoft. I'd either buy a 360 or wait for PS3.

360 bud, but we will see what the nintendo is like next month

Wii. Ordered an NTSC one months ago. I've just been sent Zelda but I haven't got anything to play it on yet LOL

get both the wii for retro games NES, SNES, N64, PC engine, megadrive plus new zelda and a 360 or PS3 for the latest games. out of all the systems wii gets my vote for the sheer numbers of quality games they have in the back catalogue that are going to be downloadable

the 360 is awesome, but the wii would be much better if your play it with mates, its much more arcade style. plus to get the max out of a 360 you need a hd tv.

I;d figured the Wii as a bit of light hearted gaming, like Nintendo's other offerings.....with inferior graphics and no multimedia features..in comparison to the more hardcore offerings from like the PS3 and 360.

Been playing Need For Speed Carbon on my brothers xbox 360 + hdtv.... Simply Superb!! :cool:

Ive got a 360 and it is great but we think we are gonna get the Wii for the whole family and as for PS3 fook em WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY OVER £200 MORE THAN JAPS OR AMERICANS ...............AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED SONY CAN SHOVE IT UP THEIR BOTTOMS UNLESS THEY REDUCE THE PRICE !!!

I am also gonna get the H.D. D.V.D. drive add on for the 360 hopefully with king kong film which i am told by Microsoft is no later than 25th november, so then who needs Blue Ray !!

to be honest i don't remember the ds getting as much publicity as the previous nintendos. i actually can't wait for the Wii to come out, the cordless controllers are going to be awsome. can you imagine playing star wars on the wii with all the light saber fighting :dance:

supposedly, vista will support it straight out for streaming but Im sure microsoft will cripple the divx, avi content somewhere along the line.

i so wanted a PS3 when i saw the games before E3 but after that, there was only one game on it i wanted, that wasnt on the 360. with all the problems sony have had with this machine im waiting, as mine and my brothers PSP'S both broke

Apparently people with a PS3 have to do a firmware update straight away to make it work on line. The PS3 is released with version 1 but you need 1.1 to make it work on Sony's servers. Also there is very little backwards compatability, with only about 20 SP2 games "working", and from the reports I have heard most of those crash.

 

However, the PS3 will be a huge success because Sony can release any crap and the PS fans think it is the best thing in the world.

Exactly... last time i looked the DS was outsellign the PSP by three to one or something...

 

I would get the Wii (and Zelda), then get the 360 when Halo 3 (finally) comes out..

If you have a HD TV then get a 360 bud you will not be dissapointed unless mario style is your thing personally I like third or first person shooters if you have a 360 then buy gears of war awesome game oh and splinter cell also excellent ;)

I don't have an HDTV either for my 360. The graphics look great regardless but believe me it's worth shelling out for the HDTV to go with it.

its a fashion exsessory if you dont have one your not cool :xxx: my little girl had a gamecube that we all played as a family. all her friends said you dont want that you want a ps2. so we sold her gamecube and got a ps2 with loads of games it was played for 1 day and left in the corner and she wanted the gamecube back. IMO the last gen of consoles should have been won by the xbox it was the best, had the best games, the online was superb but sony did it because of the playstation name

 

P.S the 360 looks great on anything but in HD it looks brill

Neither.

 

I already have a HD 24" widescreen monitor so am just going to save up a bit and shell out on the new DX10 graphics card and conroe cpu card for my PC. This new hardware totally kicks the ass off the 360 and now the ps3 is obsolete (graphicly) before its even released.

Can't wait for Crysis on the PC.......
