We made one in physics A level classes.

 

Not quite like that - just a strobe light and a signal generator going to an electromagnet that pinched a tube which the water flowed from.

 

It was amazing to look at and play with.

 

Some museum should build a big one - it'd make a good interactive piece - although could cause epilepsy! lol!
