makes a massive difference when i press the hi button lol

goes from being quick - to sh*T hold on!

My NA puts down 237hp and 211lbs Tq to the wheels. :D

After I purchase the Rebello Stroked 3.4L motor I will be putting down more Hp than the stock twin-turbo model with an all motor Z. :D

Hopefully mine will be around 500 early next yr, Im having mine built for road use. Spec will be JWT 530bb, Greddy Smic, 615 inj, carbon clutch, nismo crank, koyo, SAFC II.

Hoping it will be nice driveable and strong.

Barry

i would say mac1

So would I :nana2: ;)

macs was 505rwhp if i remember right, i was running 479 but with the bottom end gone, boomin is about the same, cj is also about the same, last i heard from vinces when it was at thors it was around 400 bhp inc nos at the wheels so not sure??

Yes with a stock fuel pump, the car WILL make 600 before we even think about race fuel watch this space;)

Good to see you back Iain.

LOL He must be on Red Bull :D

At Japshow last year i saw a few 300s run 14's and a grey one, think it was a 2 seater do a 13.0 something.

what sort of 1/4s do standard turbo's run??

Im suprised that you dont see any in ten of the best also?

MAC1, your engine spec is good from your rides section, what sort of 1/4 times have you ran?

Cheers Si

Give me 1 more year to get everything I have in teh spare room bolted onto teh car.

yep TT or NA, will also include V8 conversions.

As far as V8 cars are concerned Gavin Balmer was the quickest in this country. His 11.38sec quarter at 121.79 Mph is still the best unless anyone has a pink slip saying different. Sadly Gavin is no longer with us.

If you are looking at independently verified speeds as oposed to "bragging rights" then Chunks 172mph at Brutingthorpe in 2005 is the fastest top speed I have seen recorded in a TT. As already said I believe Jaffa's 12.5 sec quarter is the best available although SRae gave a good showing on road tyres at 12.9 I think???

i will lay claim to the fastest NA class with a best quarter at Santa Pod of 14.57mph and I am in J Tuner with a 134mph top speed run at Bruntingthorpe this year.

nobody with a Zed has had the balls or the skills to enter Ten of the Best, probably because they would be severly embarrassed by all the current TOTB top 10 cars!!!

And none of the current crop of supposedly quick TTs has run any quarters or any lap times anywhere.

Impressive, must be one of the most powerfull NA's out there. You dont see many NA zeds, even with extensive mods putting out over 200 at the wheels.

Whats your spec ?

MAC's Definatley, I been in it. Scared the shit outta me. Soooo much power, not enough road ffs. ;)

I was running under 14.5 2 years ago before my heads were rebuilt, but I am not in the U.K so I don't count

Just looked at your engine spec. Thats about where Im heading next. Except not so wild on cams.

American tracks "seem" to be quicker in general not sure why.Its not an excuse for poor times but the main track(there are only 3 that I can get to in the whole country!!) does have a slight uphill gradient according to Google earth statss. Its only a few feet but it is there.

There is a track in Scotland that has a definite downhill run so that always gives quick results.

So what is your best pink slip so far then?

And it does count for me. Im always keen to see what other NA people are doing in any country.

Im thinking a sub 14 should be on next season for me.

I am in Arizona and the track that I ran on was at 3000+ft elevation. I ran around November time frame so it was about 75-80 degrees outside. I posted a timeslip on page 1 of this thread.

My next step is to beef up the suspension and then eventually buy a 3.4L stroked long block from Rebello Racing in California. They're 3.4L stroked motors are producing around 270-300hp to the wheels, all motor. It does not sound like a lot of horsepower but you will be looking at very consistent power and longer range of increased torque and horsepower across the power band. With good traction it will be very possible to run mid-13's all motor depending on your setup. My whole purpose for my car is not the 1/4 mile though; I am a roadcourse guy. :)

Thats a bold statment Pete or maybe a silly one I cant make my mind up :slap:

I have ran an 11.54 on road tyres at Elvington,I know I can improve on that as the car is still not finished and we still have plenty to do.

If I ran a high ten or a low eleven I will not be embarrassed and for a RWD I would say that was a respectable time.

to be fair the top ten cars at TOTB all ran in the 9's and even if greg d bought his car over here he would be lucky to run in the 10's as the tracks over here are crap compared to the US.

didnt know you had run the 1/4mile iain? stick your slip up and stick it to em

dont get me wrong as i said its the taking part but i wouldnt enter unless i knew i had a chance of doing something??
