After serious answers please guys. I want something that is fast (not more than 8sec to 60) and that looks nice / is a bit rare. I knwo zeds are great and people will say skylines, and i might go that route. But i would also like suggestions for slightly newer cars.

As you know i was involved in an accident (not my fault) and the zed has been writen off, im after something that might survive an insurance claim if knocked (ie not 15 years old i guess...)

Guess my starter for 10;

Audi TT (i know hair dressers....)

maybe 200sx s15

because people still like to think the zed is better than the supra! lol!

If he was considering cars like an Audi tt or S15 200SX the Cupra is a bit everyday and the Supra would be too old.

You get Audi TTs almost as old as the Supra and the Cupra R is an excellent car.

Bucketloads of performance if you mod it! The Audi TT uses the same engine as the Cupra R (aside from the 3.2 of course)...

They sold Supra until 2002 and I think TTs came out in the UK in 1999.

Anyway, I didn't mean to suggest the Supra or Cupra were bad ideas. I'm sure he'll consider all the suggestions - there's no bad ideas, blue sky thinking and all that!

Perhaps we can brainstorm with DeBono's Seven Hats technique next

I love vx220's I'd have one of those. Or one of those buggy cars that are just a cage. They're real cheap too!

how about a mitsibishi eclipse 1992 or something

cool dude :) but in which case, why would you say supras are too old?!

For £10K you'd get an old one compared to an Audi TT / 200SX S15 for the same money.

yes, but you'd also get a very quick one! :)

xk8's look quite classy i ithink

..........But you won't find a nice one for £10k, just a high mileage worn out example IMO.

How about a Volvo C70 T5?

You'll find a very decent one for £10k - reliable and fast plus not too common either.

For a bit more class how about a Merc 320clk? Perhaps a bit less rare than the Volvo though.....

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Dont think the R32 is buyable for 10k mate, was looking into one of these for the missis and they are holding there value a little too well.

Smacks the new shape R32 out fo the water looks wise too.
