Need some help, im selling a car on fleabay and I took a 2 min video of the car's exterior for potential buyers to see. Im trying to upload it to youtube but when about 2.5 megs uploads, my internet locks up and nothing happens. i cant access anything on the net. when i press disconnect and try to reconnect, it just times out and says the server is not responding.

however when i reboot my pc and reconnect, everything's ok again until i try and upload the video again.

i already have four videos up on youtube so i know that works fine (although the videos are shorter), and my vids are well within the 100meg/10 min limits that youtube imposes!!

it either seems to be a problem with Orange B/B, or, even more likely and more bizarre, a problem with my pc (seeing as rebooting it fixes the problem).

I wouldn't say rebooting fixes your problem. I would say it makes your computer respond again ;)

 

have you uploaded files when on Orange BB before? It could be an Orange BB problem, as they are not having a good time at the moment.

 

Is the file the same format as the other files uploaded? Try converting it to WMV if you already havent done, using windows Movie Maker and then try uploading the converted version

yeah ive been with Orange for ages and yes they are a little unreliable at the moment! this file is the same format as the others - MP4. there are two files I want to upload, one is 2.7mb and one is 7.5mb but they both tend to freeze after about 2.5mb upload. i'll try again later on and if it happens again it looks like i'll be on the dog 'n' bone for about half an hour!

Sorted now folks - there was a link that allowed a non-Flash upload. gawd knows what was going wrong then but the vids are now up and running.
