Woow...what crazy drivers

 

First time in my life I watch something like this for real.

 

I was standing on a big corner followed by a straight line and then a small corner. It was also downhill where suddenly I hear this engine rev badly and bang..the first car shows up. It was Gronholm-Rautiainen with Peugeot 206. He showed up on the corner and in a few seconds he was gone leaving a big cloud of dust. I couldnt believe it.

You expect them to take out a gear or two to slow the car down but noo no. They change gears up to make it go faster. Fucking hell.

 

Panizi, Burns, Makinen, Mcrae and everybody else. All the respect for their madness

 

 

I am soooooo jealous mate! My chum from work, Aussie geezer, is there for the week.

 

Panizi the Ultimate Doughnut Meister of All Time gets my full rezpect!!! Class driver!!!

 

But I'll be watching on C4 over the weekend though.

I've followed the rally here for many years and the first time I went I was stunned at how quickly those cars stop and accelerate away on the tarmac sections.

I remember being in one of the Welsh forests in a blizzard and the road was packed an inch thick with solid snow and ice. We could literaly hardly stand up on it. Then Kankunen (how do you spell it? LOL) comes over the brow of a hill doing over 100mph past us and round a bend! Nutters.

I've had many speeding tickets trying to get to the next stage before the top cars have gone through.

Gwydor Forest we went to years ago, when we first moved up to de Wales...Aiiiiiii!!!

 

Kankunnen was driving for Toyota in the Celica GT-4 until they got done for cheating. ROFL

 

I'm going this year, to the UK stages, anyone else up for it???
