just decatted this week and no smoke so far *crossing fingers*

Sounds alot better but don't do it if you don't like booming exhausts

Power difference is really noticable too

Do it, remember a faint heart never ****ed a pig

just having tubs rebuilt oh and have put cats back on , the moral is ??? :(

Dont decat unless you can afford to replace your tubs. Same advice to anyone thinking of doing it.

i can replace the tubs its just the hassle to take the engine out to do them cause i know when the engine comes out it isn't going back in until it has had a rebuild

Replace the PCVs and hoses and fingers crossed your tubs will be fine ;)

Im not doing it till next autumn, then ill have the winter to change the tubs!

My n/s was smoking on tickover , did the pcv,s a while back , just de-catted and it,s now smoking from both sides , certainly feel the power difference but the smoke is embarassing in traffic :headvswal

Engine,s coming out in a few weeks to replace the tubs , turbo guy said as long as the tubs have been used de-catted from the start you shouldn,t have any problems

Mine is a UK car with approx 70k on the clock, always had a little smoke on idle. But after decat went worse, like Boldy says, you can feel the difference, but just be prepared for the worse. Mines having a full rebuild over winter.
