Thinking about getting one, Argos seem to have it pretty cheap with added extras, any other deals out there?

They have some deal at argos where you get the driver set up and the console for 279, what does the premium pack include and is it worth getting?

get the premium one you need a hard drive and if you buy a core system then buy a hard drive seperate you'll pay more

£280 at Argos plus loads of extra goodies looks fantastic value! Not apparently online but the TV advertised one comes with some games and a steering wheel IIRC.

Not sure if it comes with the premium pack stuff though, looks like steering wheel pedals etc

DONT KNOW>>>> But I will tell you this.................You wont be disapointed. A truely superb Games Machine. But you probably knew that anyway.

Checked Argos today, the offer only contains the Core System.

I did however find the Premium System in Tesco £260 however they told me they couldn't sell them as there product defects!

theres really very little point in buying a core system as you need to add £14.99 on straight away for a memory card and if you plan on playing online you also need a headset £24.99(i think),the premium system comes with a wireless controller(wired if you buy a core system)a hard disk(no need for a memory card and also allows you to download extra content for games etc and needed if you want to stream music etc from your pc)a headset for online play and a network cable...oh and the premium comes with a "chrome" dvd tray

HTH

Paul.

Got mine a couple of months ago at Virgin. £299.99 Premium pack with Second Wireless controller and PGR if that helps.

Can you chip the XBOX 360?

you can flash the bios allowing it to read copies, however i believe microsoft just put out an update and turned alot of "flashed" 360's into paperweights

lol thats bull m8;)

they MAY and its a BIG may introduce a live update to stop you playing online

think about it, how many users have illegal copies of windows, and if they issued something that fried a comp they would be sued to hell and out of business now

there are people taking action against m/s because of overheating power supplys on the 360, so NO WAY will they introduce something that renders YOUR console useless,

again they MIGHT for the future introduce games that are harder to reincode

but again it will only be a short term thing

there are currently 60-70 games that have been "enabled" to play on a flashed drive;)

the only TECHNOLOGY they have brought out since this kicked of is they have glued the part in that was needed to be "got at" and made it harder to be flashed apart from that nothing has altered m8;)

ive bin a big fan of ps2 and ones etc but what sort of games do they have on the 360 my likes anything motorsport , fps, acecombat type games?

i have all the latest consoles and i must say the xbox/360 have the best games. since i bought the first xbox my ps2 has sat in a coner gathering dust as there isnt one game on the system that makes me turn my xbox off. the only thing i will say is microsoft are taking the piss to get the old xbox games to work on the 360 i have a shelf full of games i cant play :headvswal

i have, i check the list all the time to see if the games i have are on there only some of the xbox games work as everyone has to be emulated one by one as the 360 has nothing to do with the first xbox in it (not like PS2). i have republic commandos, and riddick i want to play but cant yet
