switchgear removal

How do you remove the switch pod on left side of steering wheel (air con control etc)? It is a bit loose at the top, want to see why and see if I can tighten it up.

    Two screws under the base. It will be loose at the top as the two screw shafts at the top will have broken and crumbled, also causing a loose hazard switch. VERY common.
