Id promised the missus that Id treat her to a cooked meal when she told me she'd graduated. The dreaded day came yesterday and although I started to get a bit flustered as I was juggling three different dishes at the same time I think I pulled it off quite well. Below is the result:

 

Onion bhajis with mint yoghurt dip

Vegetable and yellow split pea balti

Grilled vegetable skewers

 

...all herbs picked (or pulled) out of the garden, everything made by myself. I didnt think I'd made enough but those yellow split peas dont half fill you up :hurl:

Well done quite satisying achievement getting to cook a meal from scratch

 

I don't get to cook very often but I love to cook

 

I cooked this last Christmas it's a Colombian recipe called sancocho (chicken, potatoes and corn in stock) and a sweet potato souffle
