hi guys and girls ive got a strange sound when coming off the throttle, its hard to explain but when the revs are coming down it sounds like theres something lose in the engine bay, sounds like an unblanced fan (ie turbo) but car feels fine as in boosting goods, could this be the convertor in the gearbox?? my car is a 93 auto TT uk spec

any help is greatful

regards andy

if one of the turbo bearings has some play in it the impeller fan can hit the turbo casing, but that sounds more like a grinding

Engine mount?

I had a similar noise Bud. Much to my relief, I found it to be the heat shield near the tub. £5 its fixed with 2 jubilee clips.

Hope yours is as simple as that!

goose honk?

I second that theory, have you got an induction kit fitted?
