Hmmmm - I have a suspicion that someone who should know better has connected these two identicle connectors the wrong way around!!!!

 

I need a bit of visual guidance/confirmation of the correct pairing of the connectors.

 

They sit at the back of the engine under the scuttle above the IAA unit kinda area.

 

Could someone confirm the colour of the wires on the connector that plugs into the 02 plug (white sleeving) please?

It wont be VTC and O2, it will be VTC and Det mixup ;) (see dark green colour)

 

Loom:

 

The three connectors on the right-hand side are: [EGT][o2][VTC] shown below:

 

The VTC and the o2 sensor connectors come off the loom at the same place, and it you look down the back you can see the bronzey colour VTC solenoid so you can see if its connected right.

 

The Det sensor connector comes off the loom in the centre of the engine with the Air regulator connector at the rear, and the cable dissapears into the V of the engine, so again you should be able to see this is right.

Look at the colour of the wires on the drivers side vtc connector (ecu side). The colours are the same for both sides :)
