If I start my engine and let it get up to normal temp. hold 2000rpm, the o2 sensors on datascan sit at 32.

If I rev to 3-4k a few times then sit it at 2000rpm they work fine, sweeping left to right.

Is this normal or are they lazy. I got a new one and a nearly new one im going to fit sometime.

Just wondered if the ones in there now are fine?

Erm????? Is there anything actually wrong with the running of the car???

Replace both like The Dark Warrior said and get a wideband along with them.

Nope, I just want it running spot on before she goes on the rollers for tuning

Always check the connecors too - Mine showed a dead one when it was just green oxide in the connector - easier and cheaper to clean the connector than replace a sensor!

Really, I'm kinda surprised that that - you sure you mean the O2 sensors and not the cat temp sensors ?

sounds normal, the ecu doesnt care what the 02s are reading until 2kRPM +

so what should they be doing under 2k rpm?

Nothing I dont think. From start up mine wont register at 2k untill I give it a good rev up to 3-4k.Then mine read at 2k

When i bought the car i found after a few months that they weren,t connected ( spotted the plugs not connected ) asked a few times on here if it will cause problems , most people said ...ooh it shouldn,t even run ..but it does and very well too .

Spoke to Jeff from Z WORLD at JAE , he said they only affect the running upto a certain rev range anyway, after that they don,t really do owt .

For peace of mind i bought a pair , fitted them and the car wouldn,t tickover correctly , kept hunting up and down and nearly stalling , unplugged them and hey presto runs perfect :nana2:

It,s strange but very true :hyper: :hyper:
