October 22, 200618 yr The way I do it is with either WD40 or proper contact cleaner and use a very small flat head screw driver and scrape the corrosion off. Ivan

October 22, 200618 yr Alloy wheel cleaner is good for cleaning up contacts, but make sure you flush it out afterwards with ordinary contact cleaner, which actually dont remove much of the corrosion.
October 23, 200618 yr Once clean it can be an idea to apply some electrical silicon grease - stops water ingress and protects against corrosion :)

October 23, 200618 yr I used wheel acid which valeters use to remove brake dust , cleans it very well but needs a good rinsing afterwards :dance:
