I put them on yeaterday - it was very easy. THe only slightly hard bit was fiding space to mount the boxes which increase the voltage.

They look awesome - but I haven't tried them in the dark yet as I was away last night - looking forward to trying them later!

I might post a pic but I'm never convinced they show that much anyway.

Just been to the shops - I don't need to wait until dark - I could see the difference in daylight.

Looking forward to taking it out once it is dark.

Nice one Tim. They do make a massive difference don't they?

Out of interest, where did you mount the boxes? I'm struggling to find a good spot, so that I can still shut the bonnet and the wires will reach, unfortunately both of which are a requirement...

under neath the lights them selves is a good place, loads of room, only thing being you might have to take the lights off, this is where they are mounthed on the 99 spec lights. i've also seen them mounted on teh side of the inner arch, just a few for you.

Cheers

Glad your happy with them :)

Every customer is suprised how much of a difference they make.

We tend to mount them underneath the nose panel.

Thanks guys. I looked at mounting under the nose panel, but I'm not sure I can make the leads reach, si it looks like the lights are coming out then

The H.I.D lights we sell and the ones we have fitted for customers puchased elsewhere have all reached.

You have to feed the cable underneath the Intake pipes, its tight, but will reach.

Passenger side I mounted on the fuse box, driver side I've attached it where the alarm siren is - I'll take a photo later.

I looked under that pannel between the headlights but it would have been more difficult to put them there.

The one on the right is next to the fuse box.

The one of the left is turned through 90 degrees and just infront of / to the right of the alarm siren.

Hids are one of the next things on my to do list. Can you not just extend the wiring loom for them?

I noticed the boxes get quite warm - almost hot.

Is this normal or have I mounted them too near the engine / fan?

Any idea anyone?

they will get warm mate

Ballasts will get warm no matter where you mount them. Ours now have a heatsink build onto the enclosure to facilitate better heat transfer to atmosphere.

And no, you can't extend the wiring by splicing into them. Specialist wiring is involved.
