I dont understand why they adopted the little boy when he has a dad still. Surely it would have been in the little boys interest if she used some of her money to help them stay together??

Fair enough if the kid had no parents and no family and was going to be stuck in an orphanage all his life maybe but he has a father who just cannot afford to look after him properly. He should have been helped to stay with his real family in his own country.
