Hey guys,

Does anyone have the slightest clue how to tell the difference betweenn the jspec wheels and the Uk spec ones. Before you say width, i know. What i mean is, is there any I.D. on the rims saying they're j-spec, or wider?

Need to get some wider rubber on the back as its like a spider on ice skates in the rain :S

Rich

PS I'm on 245's at the mo.

wider tires won't help in the rain, jspec size are 225 all round, uk is 225 front 245 rear.

Sounds like you need to get decent tires... what brand do you have at the moment? that or your suspension is knackered

The well regarded Falken 451's have two channels down the middle of the tyre to help against aqua planing. But the zed never will be a truely well handling car in the wet.

UK rears which are the wider ones have a series of re inforcing ribs on the inside face of the wheel. They can be seen even when the wheel is on the car. ;)

Wider tyers handle worse in the rain. Less pressure on the road. Look at rally cars when they are on wet or ice. very narrow tyres.

All I can suggest is get a MAJOR branded performance tyre.

I have had a few and found the the Bridgestone S02 and S03 handle the best in the wet.

Well thanx guys, great advice as usual. Thank you Pete!

Its the suspension, i know it is!!

I'll check a few more things out before i take the 18" plunge!
