Wheel stud

Featured Replies

I presume the front is the same as the rear....... I had to have my rear disc removed so that my sheared stub could be replaced. This is because they have an end piece on the stud to stop it from coming all the way through.

It didn't look all that hard to do!!

My mechanic had the car on his lift, took the wheel off, and just hammered the disc until it freed off. Then punched the old stud out of the hub and replaced the new one in.

I'd recommend using a torque wrench when putting the nuts back on to make sure that the new stud is pulled through properly!
