just a query more than anything. How many uk zed's are there left...Do most of the members on the forum have a jap import? The reason I ask is my own uk zed was literally saved from the scrap heap, with the amount of rust on the car, it should have been scrapped, but thats another story. So another uk zed was saved... :cool:

yeah was thinking that, but a tad late..although I think it would be good to do one and have a quick analysis on what cars we have here at the club.

I don't know if this is true but I thought only 1270 some, UK cars had been built? I remember reading it somewhere, I was told that there was less than 550 UK Z32's left!! That was from a girl from my insurance company that just loves ZXTT's. anyway lets just have a count up :-)

I.................. I just can't bring myself to take it out of storage and that's why I bought one for the weekends. I think it's a shame the price has fallen so much now and not even worth selling these days. Not that I would sell.

Mine is a jspec, sound underneath and on top just a small bit of bubble under the paint on the drivers side rear arch and a few chips, gonna get that sorted soon. Other that that (as far as I am aware) she is sound for 14 and a bit year old. Was imported 1998 so not bat at all.b

Mine a 1990 UK spec, it did have the blisters on the rear arch, now completly replaced with a new panel. Rear quarter sills also rotted and replaced with new sections ( 4 in total per side) It's worth noting that the rear drain pipe from targas has a small length of steel tube attached to it which pops out of the rear under sill, it is VERY likely yours could be rotted, if so it shortens the drain tube so that it sits inside the sill box and fills up nicely with water.! Those with side skirts will only know the rear sills section is fooked by putting up on a ramp and close inspection, in my case what looked like a very small hole an inch around, was actually 4 times as big once the skirts were off :cry: I've seen 3 zeds now where this was not spotted and the rot has travelled into the rear floor pan and the cars were scrapped, so deffo check that area out asap chaps ;)
