Having worked out that my heads are fooked, i have to take the engine out to get to them.

Can this be done with the gearbox still attached, as i started by removing the intake plenium and it took ages.

Twin turbo, auto. Any advice would be helpful as i plan to remove the engine this weekend, and am not looking forward too it, but it has to be done in order to get the zed back on the road.

leave the gearbox in, just remove all the bolts around the bellhousing, problem with pulling the box with engine is the length, its to awkward, thats the only thing i go against TT.net

auto or manual? if its auto you need to remove the torque convertor bolts 4 14mm bolts that hold the engine/ringear/torque convertor together dont forget to do that otherwise you will end up with 5lts of transmisson fluid on your drive, misses will love you.

follow the guide but ignore propshaft disconection, and undo all the bolts around the gearbox. You will need to drop the crossmember and pull of the steering UJ

dont do the heads in situ FFS pull the engine out, you will be ****ing about for ages, in which time you could of pulled the engine rebuilt the heads and got it back in b4 you even got the heads out of the engine bay. :smash: ;)

Cheers lads, will give it a try, until something shags me up. Ta Stu

make sure you wear some safety if someones shagging you up :D
