4......300zx Drag Challenge

At present there is no such event.

The Z Club always has its Z Club Drag Challenge Series organized by Mike Feeney. But to be eligible you must be SUBSCRIBED to Z Club.And its not just 300 Z32s there are other classes too.

Although there is usually an invitational class you wont be eligible for the Championship in that category. Normally six events throughout the year too, not one single event.

. However most of these rounds take place at normal RWYB days which are pretty boring if you are not competing. Its always been a minority type event and probably always will be. So not in my view worthy of National consideration. We have on odd occasions made one of the rounds a Midlands event cos quite a few Midlands memberz(like me ) are actively involved.

In truth this may well have been the start of your belief that Jap Show meets were Midlands regional Events as opposed to National events.

But I see you havent put in the June Jap Show at Santa Pod???

Now that would be worthy of consideration.

So I suggest that be included.

I do appreciate the fact that there has to be a limit on the numbers of National Events as one National organizer can only do so much. i speak from experience here as I have organized events for the Z Club at the NEC indoor classic show.

Any chance of having something more central as well? Everything is a 4hr drive for me as most of it's up near Silverstone.

hi pete what we can do is tie down a date at the pod when you can run what you brung,and the fastest zed on that day takes the trophy ,,light hearted fun and banter really,,obviously details have got to be sorted but you get the idear,,,

a few of the lads in the club like drag racing as i have found out in the past week by whats been going on so an event like this should please you draggers

However opening it up to TTs and HybridZ too might big up the numbers.

Im always up for helping out at da Pood and passing on a few tips to "Pod Virgins" before their first runs.

Perhaps if you wait till Mike does Z Club Challenge dates then something might suit this club to do it on the same day.

Talking of Drag Racing . can we have some db drag racing as i doubt my 3 ton zed is gonna be very quick down the straight, but wont have a prob creating some noise

How about we organise our own weekend event at the coast somewhere, something like a mid June long weekend at Great Yarmouth or Bournmouth

 

There are bound to be campsites that will alow idiots like us to take over the place
