As you all know I have found a new pass time for weekends, I had been attending Quad enduro's as a spectator for a while and have now dicided to take part.

 

I have entered myself into Weston Beach race on 21st of October, anyone who knows anything about this mad sport (Weston is probably the easiest) will also know that at 50 years old its not the most sensible thing Ive ever done.

 

Just to make this even more interesting a shall be doing this with a cracked rib that I got in practice 2 weeks ago. :headvswal

 

Any how as I'm going to do it I thought it might be a good idea to raise money for a good cause, I hope all my friends here will sponser me for a couple of bob for the charity Cure Leukaemia.

 

Weston beech race is a three mile course over the sand dunes and man made hills and pits on the beach at Weston Super Mare, the aim is to do as many laps as possible in 3 hours.

 

I will try to post links to both the charity and the race (summat else that aint easy at 50)

 

The event organisers RHL Activities are suporting me by giving me a 50% reduction in entry fee the amount that I have saved (£50) I shall be putting into the Cure Leukaemia fund.

stopped in Exmouth on saturday night was going back up to weston on sunday but weather was goin to be to bad plus... was that stiff on sunday mornin I couldnt get outta bed :o :rofl:

His name is darren wheeler, he's a real good rider, one of those

guys who can ride anything with 2 wheels really well, he does the

'fast eddy' rounds in the pro class with paul edmondson etc...

He also rides the british enduro championships, is good at mx & trials too.

I hate him! lol :p

We have just bought him a 50cc quad bike with a 4 stroke engine.

Dunno what make tbh!! lol

Its about the third hes had as my other half (Southwestzmech) keeps riding them and breaking them!! lol

He had his first one at 3 and we limited it so he couldnt go very fast but as soon as we turned our backs, he had taken limiter off and was flying round the field!!!

No Junior Quad at WBR this year only 65cc Junior solo and 85cc Youth.. my 13yo daughter wants to do solo next year if theres no junior quad.

I hope there is a junior race or my little 'un is not going to be a happy boy. He was so chuffed when we said we would get him another quad to practice on ready for the race next year :eek:
