I was just offered a set of Lenso rs5 42 offset does anyone know if they will fit they are multi fitament so they should but not sure if they will clear the brakes does anyone have this or have them on there car if so any pics.

I think the correct offset is 35-38.

 

42 MIGHT be ok.

 

Do you know what the PCD or centre bore sizes are?

Also what size are the wheels themselves?

the wheels are 225 40 18

That's the tyres are 225/40-18.

 

Some would say they're a bit thin for a TT although Japanese ones came on 225s.

 

I'd say check the speed rating of the tyres - you need a V for a NA and a Z for a TT.

 

I'm not too sure about the wheels themselves - one of the clever lads will probably know though.

its for a N/A which does about 4000 a year and mainly buy my mother as i have another car so the size will be ok.

 

i will try them on tomorro and see if they clear the brakes

you'd need spacers. My fronts are 25 offset on a 8.5J and rears 30 offset on a 10J and that really fills the arch out, but such a big offset on a narrow wheel may even foul the front calippers. The certainly would be lost inside the wheel arch.
