got myself a z last week (at last) a really nice one well will be!!!!!

 

slight set back, didnt pick it up first but have vibration at certain speeds on duals..... up the seat an sounds like wheel bearings but checked that and axle, rods, hicas etc but no joy!! are they a common fault? wots the best price an is it easy enough to do it myself?

 

any suggestions will be great....

Also check rear gearbox mount, they weaken, collapse - moving the prop out of alighment.

 

....and check if any work has been done prior to you collecting the car that may have involved prop removal.....its quite common for it to be refitted 180 degrees out from the correct fitment becuase the mechanic has'nt marked the prop ends when they removed it.

the worn prop bearing on mine felt like a vibration only when accelerating hard so probably the prop itself is slightly misaligned/warped?
