power steering problems

hi there i have a 1992 300zx tt and when im driveing along some time my power steering just goes but when i turn the ignision off and start again its fine for a littel while does any one have any ideas what it could be.

    no i checkt both of them it would have to be an electrical fault if it goes away when i reset the ignision.

    sorry about the delay, yehs its a j spec but its just standerd no converter ror the likes.

    It could be a broken or loose connection in the speedo cluster - I had this and I took the speedo apart and resoldered all the joints - bingo good as new.
