Decided to make a start on cleaning my dirty engine bay. Armed with a tooth brush, washing up liquid, tiny bowl of water and a rag.

It's working, hard work and now it's started raining so I've given up for a while.

Ever tried cleaning to plenum while it's still in the engine bay and all connected up LOL

Well at least I've proved to myself that it can be cleaned as the bits i can reach look a lot better already

Mind you I did discover 3 lose bolts on the injector mounts and 3 are missing completely. :(

Wish me luck guys :)

Make sure you write down what not to do for the rest of us so when we get round to doing it, we wont do it wrong! :D Having said that, you could do mine for me.

I need to get my Zed out right now while it's sunny... bloody door card is apart from the last time I tried sorting out the central locking, need to get petrol while it's cheapo! 94.9p for V-Power! :smash:

We already know youre mad as a hatter lol

Try Halfords own brand engine bay cleaner .. it works a treat and no hard work involved

Try that paint on "Gunk", then pressure wash it off before rubbing everything over with wd40, drives out the moisture and also stops the muck sticking :D

Wouldn't advise using a pressure washer, not even a hose as you'll end up with brittle wiring and connectors :(

:) Tooth brush diped in Oxy clean works nicely, or tooth brush with a tiny amount of neat washing up liquid, scrub like mad than wipe away with a dry cloth :) :) :)
