Hi guy's and gals.

I have been doing my HICAS rack and I removed the fuel tank heatsheild which fits to the front of the tank. Trouble is I snapped off 3 of the 4 bolts. Now what I want to ask is how many of you guy's have this fitted? And is it worth my while drilling and tapping the bolts out or just leave it off? I can't see it's doing much TBH as the exhaust is closer at the sides than the front.

Chucked mine in skip first week I had the car. As you say, it doesn't appear to do anything.

Hi Ivan,

The shield is there as a first line of defense against debris puncturing the tanks - it's not a heatshield. I would say that since Nissan thought it important to put it there you should try and keep it - but that's just my opinion.
