speedo resistor?

hi guys

my speedo went on the blink about 3weeks ago so me and clarkey soldered a 20k resistor on to the back of the clocks to get it from kph to mph.

 

yesterday it stopped working again which leeds me to belive i need a higher watt resistor? does anybody know what watt resistor i should get?

    Don't believe the wattage of the resistor is important, you probably have a different problem.

    ah ok mate thanks,I have a tv repair guy coming round to have a look at my resistor etc so after he's been and told me its not the resistor ill tell clarkey to get his a$$ back from uni and fix my car :slap:
